Librela may be an option for some older dogs with osteoarthritis pain, but age alone does not determine candidacy. A veterinary examination is needed to review mobility, current or recently changed health problems, medications and supplements, previous or current monoclonal-antibody treatment, and individual benefit-risk considerations. Librela should not be given to dogs younger than 12 months or to dogs intended for breeding, pregnant, or nursing.
