After-Hours • Urgent Care • Active Patients
When unexpected medical concerns happen outside of normal business hours, Cascade Veterinary Clinics provides after-hours urgent care for active patients through a triage-based on-call system.
Because our clinics are not staffed 24 hours a day, all after-hours urgent care begins with a phone call. Please do not come directly to the clinic unless instructed by the triage team.
Our after-hours process is designed to help your pet receive the right level of care while allowing the on-call veterinary team to be contacted and prepared when in-person care is needed.
Call (509) 663-0793. This is the first step for all after-hours urgent care concerns.
Your call will be answered by GuardianVets, our third-party veterinary triage partner. You will speak with a licensed veterinary technician or trained veterinary triage professional.
If your pet needs urgent medical attention, the triage team will coordinate with the on-call veterinarian and provide instructions for where to go and what to do next.
After-hours urgent care is reserved for active Cascade Veterinary Clinics patients.
Monday – Friday: 5:30 PM to 8:00 AM
Saturday & Sunday: 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM
Cascade Veterinary Clinics is not staffed like a 24-hour emergency hospital. Our after-hours urgent care system allows veterinary professionals to assess your pet’s condition first, determine the level of urgency, and contact the on-call veterinarian when in-person care is needed.
Triage helps determine whether your pet needs immediate care, can safely wait for regular hours, or needs another emergency resource.
When a pet needs to be seen, the on-call team can be notified and prepared before you arrive.
This process helps us provide safe, high-quality care while maintaining a sustainable schedule for our doctors and staff.
If you are worried about your pet after hours, call first. The triage team will ask questions and help determine the appropriate next step.
We care deeply about pets and families across North Central Washington, and we understand how stressful it is when a pet needs help after hours. At the same time, after-hours urgent care requires significant coordination between doctors, technicians, support teams, and veterinary triage professionals.
Limiting this service to active patients allows us to provide continuity of care for pets we know, maintain high medical standards, and keep this service sustainable for the clients who rely on us.
If your pet has not been seen by Cascade Veterinary Clinics within the last 12 months, please contact your regular veterinarian to ask what after-hours services are available through their clinic. If your pet needs emergency care, please contact a 24-hour emergency hospital near you.
