Dr. Miller

Dr. Justin Miller has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2009. A graduate of Washington State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she joined Cascade Veterinary Clinics in 2011, bringing her passion for pets and strong communication skills to our team.

Originally from Edmonds, WA, Dr. Miller didn’t always plan to become a veterinarian—she entered college as a communications major, aiming for a career in broadcasting. But her love for animals, paired with an unexpected passion for science, led her down a new path: one that let her spend every day helping dogs and cats live healthier, happier lives.

At Cascade, Dr. Miller is especially passionate about client education and behavioral medicine. Having personally owned a dog with significant behavioral challenges, she understands how difficult and emotional those cases can be. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help pet owners uncover the why behind a pet’s behavior—and to provide actionable steps that lead to real progress. She also enjoys the everyday variety of general practice and helping guide families through both routine and complex care decisions.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and regularly pursues continuing education in behavior and client communication to support her evolving skillset. Dr. Miller also plays a key role in mentoring newer doctors and veterinary assistants within Cascade’s collaborative care team.

Outside of work, Dr. Miller enjoys spending time with her husband, fellow veterinarian Dr. Zack Hambleton, their two sons, and their dynamic pack of pets—including two mischievous dogs, a spirited kitten, and Trike, a wise three-legged cat who runs the household. She’s also a book lover and proud member of a local book club.

“Helping a pet is powerful—but helping an owner understand their pet is where real healing begins.”
